AIT Technician – GNC Module Assembly

Responsibilities

• Assemble complex electronic and mechanical modules following detailed procedures
• Operate hand tools including screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and light power tools
• Perform basic avionics and electrical troubleshooting
• Assist in spacecraft integration related activities
• Update documentation and hardware statuses through online services
• Maintain a neat, clean, safe, and orderly work area
• Perform lab duties such as kitting, inventory, and organization

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of professional experience in electromechanical assembly or spacecraft hardware manufacturing
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and schematic drawings
• Proficiency with Windows 10 and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of soldering tools and practices
• Familiarity with cleanroom standards and ESD precautions
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance
• Ability to stand for most of the working day

Preferred Qualifications

• J-STD-001 certification
• Skillset of harnessing and soldering to IPC 620 specifications
