AIT Technician

Responsibilities

• Support engineering set-ups, complex breadboard build-ups, and reworking of external parts
• Use lathe and milling machines to fabricate and modify components with precision
• Perform and oversee shaker tests, endurance tests, and thermal vacuum (TVAC) tests to validate hardware
• Build up ground support equipment (GSE) and support engineering campaigns

Requirements

• Professional qualification or vocational training education
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
• Proficiency in assembling mechanical systems and production equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
• Skills in metalworking including cutting, drilling, grinding, and fitting
• Experience with CNC machining and welding
• Proficiency in CAD software for design and planning
• English language proficiency (German is a plus)
• Eligibility to work in Germany

• Familiarity with space industry-standard tests such as vibration and thermal vacuum tests
