About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute hands-on satellite assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) activities.
- Act as the technical point of contact for subsystem integration to ensure manufacturability and configuration consistency.
- Support production readiness and design reviews (PRR, CDR) to ensure seamless transition into production.
- Perform and guide system-level verification and validation, including functional, environmental, and EMC test campaigns.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues by coordinating with design and QA teams.
- Contribute to AIT documentation, including test procedures, integration plans, and checklists.
- Drive continuous improvement in integration methods, test efficiency, and build reliability.
- Mentor local engineers and technicians to foster a culture of quality and accountability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in the development, integration, testing, or production of satellite systems.
- Multidisciplinary engineering expertise in at least one area: mechanical, electronics, RF, or software.
- System-level understanding of complex satellite architectures and integration processes.
- Proven track record of enabling Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM) and Design-for-Testability (DFT).
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Ability to work on-site at the Valencia production facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with production ramp-up and configuration management in high-reliability hardware industries.
- A systems engineering mindset with the ability to anticipate integration risks across interfaces.
- Experience in the space industry or similar complex hardware environments.
