AI/Simulation Engineer – EMI/EMC Validation & Compliance

Responsibilities

• Perform EMI/EMC modeling, simulation, and analysis of electronic systems including power electronics, high-speed digital designs, PCBs, cables, antennas, and enclosures.
• Use full-wave and hybrid EM simulation tools to evaluate conducted and radiated emissions, coupling paths, and shielding effectiveness.
• Provide design-for-EMC guidance covering PCB layout, grounding, bonding, shielding, filtering, and enclosure design.
• Support regulatory compliance efforts by predicting emissions, identifying risk areas, and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Create V&V roadmaps for products as per UL Standards and conduct independent verification, validation, and uncertainty quantification.
• Collaborate with hardware, PCB, and compliance teams to translate standards into actionable design requirements.
• Develop technical documentation, simulation reports, and compliance evidence to support UL submissions.

Requirements

• BE / ME / MS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Electromagnetics, or a related field.
• 3-7 years of hands-on experience in EMI/EMC analysis, simulation, and validation for electronic systems.
• Proficiency in EMI/EMC simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, FEKO, SIwave, or Maxwell.
• Strong foundation in electromagnetic theory, coupling mechanisms, shielding, grounding, and signal/power integrity.
• Working knowledge of global EMI/EMC and safety standards, including CISPR, IEC 61000, ISO 11452, FCC, and UL standards.
• Proven ability to correlate simulation results with laboratory test data.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex electromagnetic concepts to cross-functional teams.
