Airport Safety Quality Assurance Inspector

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections of airport construction projects to verify compliance with contract requirements and safety standards.
• Monitor contractor safety performance and identify unsafe conditions to recommend corrective actions.
• Review contractor safety plans, procedures, and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, safety observations, and corrective action documentation.
• Assist with incident, injury, and accident investigations, including root cause analysis.
• Perform workplace audits and assessments of construction activities, equipment, and work areas.
• Verify proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and Airport Authority representatives to promote safety.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to maintain eligibility under airport driving requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance and required badging.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and non-traditional schedules to support construction operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in construction safety inspections for aviation or infrastructure projects.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification or OSHA 500 Trainer Certification.
• 24-Hour HAZWOPER Certification.
• Competent Person designation in Excavation, Scaffolding, or Fall Protection.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
