About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise airport operations and maintenance staff to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and safe airfield conditions.
  • Coordinate building maintenance and housekeeping activities at Dayton International Airport, Dayton Wright Brothers Airport, and the Dayton Heliport on a 24/7 basis.
  • Conduct FAR Part 139 inspections and maintain all required compliance and training records.
  • Oversee airfield safety, including snow removal, ice control, damage repair, and preventative maintenance.
  • Manage shift supervision, inventory control, and special projects involving contractors, inspectors, and suppliers.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and service requests from tenants, police, fire, and the public.
  • Stay current on Federal, FAA, State, and local regulations affecting airport operations.

Requirements

  • One of the following educational and experience combinations:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Facilities, or Construction Management AND 2 years of airport experience.
  • Associate's degree in Aviation, Facilities, or Construction Management AND 5 years of airport experience.
  • High school diploma (or GED) AND 10 years of experience as an equipment operator in construction or related fields.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation, medical examination, and drug/nicotine screening.
