Airplane Electronic Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements in collaboration with customers
• Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications
• Test and validate system designs to ensure they meet operational and functional requirements
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure successful system integration and compliance
• Solve technical problems and provide support for fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle
• Research emerging technology advances for potential application to business needs

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
• 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

Preferred Qualifications

• ABET accredited degree
• 9 or more years of related work experience (for Lead level)
• Experience with DO-254 Airborne Electronic Hardware Development & Qualification
• Experience with DO-297 Integrated Modular Avionics Development & Qualification
• Experience with ARP-4754 Systems Development & Qualification
• Experience with DO-178 Airborne Software Development & Qualification
