Airplane Electronic Engineer (Lead or SME)

Responsibilities

• Lead work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
• Coordinate the translation of requirements into system architecture, hardware/software designs, and interface specifications
• Lead testing and validation efforts to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
• Oversee teams monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance
• Solve problems and provide support for fielded hardware and software throughout the entire product lifecycle
• Research technological advances and make recommendations for future technology investments

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
• 14 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

Preferred Qualifications

• ABET accredited degree
• Experience with DO-254 Airborne Electronic Hardware Development & Qualification
• Experience with DO-297 Integrated Modular Avionics Development & Qualification
• Experience with ARP-4754 Systems Development & Qualification
• Experience with DO-178 Airborne Software Development & Qualification
