Airfreight Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage daily airfreight operations for both import and export shipments
• Coordinate closely with airlines, carriers, and warehouse teams
• Negotiate freight rates and service agreements with various carriers
• Ensure full compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and aviation security
• Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays, damages, or service issues
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including transit time, cost efficiency, and service quality
• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce transportation costs
• Maintain strong customer relationships and manage service escalations
• Oversee compliance regarding dangerous goods handling

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
• 5–7+ years of professional experience in airfreight or logistics operations
• Deep knowledge of international shipping procedures and customs regulations
• Proficiency with cargo management systems and freight software
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Proven leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
