Airfreight Import/Export Operations Agent

Responsibilities

• Manage the shipment life-cycle for airfreight consolidations within the Gateway department
• Coordinate tasks to meet customer SOP requirements, including booking approvals, pre-alerts, and governmental filings
• Prepare, distribute, and maintain documentation for various geographical regions
• Collaborate with international team members and third-party agents to ensure operational efficiency
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through timely communication and issue resolution
• Provide reporting and documentation support to both internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in Global Forwarding and air freight operations (import and/or export)
• Fluency in both English and Dutch (written and verbal)
• Strong customer service, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to participate in a rotating weekend schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal knowledge or coursework in Supply Chain, Logistics, or International Business
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint)
• Eagerness to learn within a dynamic freight-forwarding environment
