Airfreight Import Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Independently manage airfreight import shipments (Airport-to-Door and Door-to-Door)
• Act as the central interface between international agents, airlines, customers, and customs authorities
• Organize pre-carriage and coordinate final delivery to the recipient
• Create, review, and process import documentation, including AWBs and customs papers
• Ensure full compliance with all customs and security regulations
• Proactively track shipments and communicate any deviations or delays
• Manage the end-to-end process from shipment arrival and customs clearance to delivery and invoicing
• Contribute to the optimization of internal workflows and processes

Requirements

• Training in freight forwarding, logistics, or a comparable field
• At least 2–3 years of experience in airfreight import operations
• Fluency in both German and English
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience using TMS (Transport Management Systems)
• Structured, solution-oriented working style and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and handle time-critical situations
• Valid German work permit
