Airfield Systems Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Airfield/Airside systems scope within a major airport Master Systems Integration (MSI) programme.
• Manage design reviews, technical compliance assessments, and systems integration planning for all assigned airfield systems packages.
• Oversee the implementation, testing, commissioning, and operational handover of systems including A-SMGCS, ALCMS, ATMS, ILS, and VDGS.
• Coordinate Interface Control Document (ICD) development between airfield systems, terminal systems, ICT infrastructure, and third-party platforms.
• Manage coordination with ANSP stakeholders, ATC operations teams, aviation authorities, EPC contractors, and technology vendors.
• Monitor systems integration dependencies, interface risks, and programme sequencing activities associated with airfield operations.
• Support the execution of integrated testing strategies including FAT, SAT, and operational trials.
• Ensure all airfield systems comply with aviation regulations, airport operational standards, and cybersecurity requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Systems, Electronics, Aviation, or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 18 years of professional experience in airport systems delivery, aviation infrastructure, or complex systems integration.
• Minimum 8 years of experience specifically in major international airport programmes.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex airside systems within operational airport environments.
• Proven experience coordinating with ANSP stakeholders, ATC operations teams, and aviation regulatory authorities.
• Experience managing specialist airport systems vendors and multidisciplinary contractor interfaces.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with GCC airport programmes.
• Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, and risk management capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams within complex, large-scale multi-organizational programme environments.
