Airfield Systems Integration Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration, interface management, systems assurance, and testing coordination for airfield/airside systems within a major airport development programme.
• Manage design reviews, technical compliance assessments, and systems integration planning across all assigned airfield systems packages.
• Coordinate integration activities and operational acceptance for systems including A-SMGCS, ALCMS, ATMS, AOS, AWOS/MET, ATIS, ILS, VDGS, and PBB.
• Oversee the development of Interface Control Documents (ICD) between airfield systems, terminal systems, ICT infrastructure, and third-party platforms.
• Manage coordination with ANSP stakeholders, ATC operations teams, aviation authorities, EPC contractors, and technology vendors.
• Monitor systems integration dependencies, interface risks, and programme sequencing to ensure operational readiness.
• Support the planning and execution of integrated testing activities, including FAT, SAT, SIT, and operational trials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Systems, Electronics, Aviation, Computer, or Telecommunications Engineering, or Information Technology.
• Minimum 18 years of professional experience in airport systems delivery, aviation infrastructure, or complex systems integration.
• Minimum 8 years of experience specifically within major international airport programmes involving airfield systems or operational technologies.
• Proven experience working in complex multi-stakeholder environments involving aviation authorities, ANSPs, and contractors.
• Deep understanding of airport operational systems, ICT infrastructure, and associated system interfaces.
• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder coordination capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with GCC airport programmes.
• Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, and risk management capabilities.
• Ability to interpret complex technical documentation and systems architecture deliverables.
• Experience managing specialist airport systems vendors and multidisciplinary contractor interfaces.
