Aircraft Worker

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs to aircraft following orders from higher-grade workers
• Remove, clean, reinstall, or replace defective parts, accessories, and components such as gaskets, couplings, fittings, and actuators
• Use hand tools to make adjustments and settings, including cable tension and seat movement
• Obtain standard parts by referring to parts manuals and comparing with samples
• Service engines and aircraft components at line stations to maintain safe operating conditions
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and procedural compliance requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Three (3) years of recent related experience in the field, or an A&P license (which is considered equivalent to three years of experience)
• US Citizenship is required to obtain facility credentials and authorization
• Ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions
