Aircraft Technician A - Blades (Paint)

Responsibilities

• Prepare all surfaces for paint by sanding, masking, filling, washing, and removing dents or surface imperfections
• Apply corrosive preventative treatments, primers, and finish coats of special materials
• Mix and tint paint as required and perform layout of paint schemes as specified by the customer
• Apply paint materials to prepared surfaces according to manufacturer instructions
• Complete aircraft for customer acceptance through brush touch-ups, cleaning striping lines, and removing overspray
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily timesheets, discrepancy sheets, and tool box audit sheets
• Sign off work using correct references, including AMM, Engineering Dispositions, and Repair Design Approval Sheets (RDAS)

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in painting and paint preparation on metal and composite/fiberglass components
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including lifting/carrying up to 30 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade School education
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience specifically with aircraft components
