Aircraft Structures Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise aircraft structures, paint, and machining tasks during shifts to ensure compliance with GCAA standards.
• Assess aircraft or engine reported damages and execute necessary repairs according to OEM instructions.
• Review Structure Repair Manuals (SRM) and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM) for accurate damage assessment and repair procedures.
• Certify structural repairs performed by technicians using approved manuals and documentation.
• Lead the structures, paint, and machining teams during shifts and distribute workloads effectively.
• Communicate with the Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) regarding any out-of-limits damages.
• Document all repairs and inspections using internal procedures and systems.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and FOD-free working environment in accordance with Safety and Quality Management Manual (SQMM) protocols.

Requirements

• 10 years of aviation experience with an engineering degree, or 15 years of experience without a degree.
• Minimum of 3 years in a team lead role.
• Valid B1 Aircraft Maintenance License.
• Formal training in aircraft structures and composites.
• Proficiency in using SRM, CMM, and AMM.
• Ability to assess damage and certify repairs per OEM and GCAA standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Aeronautical, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with Etihad fleet aircraft, including A350, B787, B777, A320, and A380.
