Aircraft Structure Technician

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble, and modify aircraft systems
• Correct failures and implement necessary changes to components
• Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Perform validation and verification testing of systems and components
• Inspect components and verify repairs to ensure flight-worthiness
• Document procedures to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance
• Comply with all safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals
• Schedule maintenance effectively to meet contractual requirements

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with sheet metal work
• 1+ years of experience with composite repair
• 1+ years of experience with aircraft or component painting
• FAA Airframe/Powerplant (A&P) license, TCCA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license, or military equivalent
• Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) operations and maintenance practices
• Ability to obtain Canadian Secret Level II Security Clearance
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
• Ability to handle US export-controlled data and consent to Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as an Aircraft Certification Authority or military equivalent
• Experience with DRMIS
• Completion of a composites repair course (Advanced composite repair preferred)
• Current Canadian Secret Clearance
