Aircraft Radio Specialist

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair radio systems on T-1, T-38, and T-6 aircraft
• Utilize specialized avionics test equipment required for job assignments
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and Air Force Technical Orders
• Complete maintenance 781 forms and perform IMDS entries for all work accomplished
• Perform other related maintenance duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• U.S. Citizenship (required for site access)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license with REAL ID within 30 days
• Four years of maintenance experience on radio, electrical, or instrument systems OR Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification OR military avionics training (DD214 required)
• Fluency in reading, speaking, and writing English
• Ability to meet physical requirements as stipulated in the CBA
