About the role

Responsibilities

  • Execute technical inspections during the aircraft production process to ensure compliance with design and certification requirements
  • Perform visual, incoming, first article, and final inspections on aircraft structures and mechanical systems
  • Document inspection results and prepare first article inspection reports using SAP and other relevant IT systems
  • Support troubleshooting and Functional Test Procedures (FTPs)
  • Compile technical data for non-conformance and launch quality discrepancy sheets
  • Perform audits of Non-Conformance Rework Orders as part of the Material Review Board (MRB)
  • Track and maintain components throughout the non-conformance process

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in an aviation company, specifically with mechanical or structural components
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Proficiency with inspection tools and length measuring techniques (mechanical, optical, electrical)
  • Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment, including working at heights and in confined spaces

Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License with inspection authorization
  • Previous experience in a mechanic or technician role
  • Experience working within an airline environment
