Aircraft Placard & Part Making Tech

Responsibilities

• Create and produce aircraft placards, identification plates, and vinyl spray painting masks
• Perform wire stamping and final placard installation
• Read and interpret customer specifications and engineering drawings to determine color, font, and materials
• Use Adobe Illustrator, PDF files, and Gerber Omega software to layout and produce placards
• Operate sign cutting equipment, programmable engravers, and foil printers
• Maintain documentation for material traceability and FAA compliance
• Perform daily equipment maintenance and monitor department materials inventory
• Assist engineering in defining placard specifications and creating graphics

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 1 to 4 years of experience reading engineering drawings for placards, ID plates, or wire stamping
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Gerber Omega software
• Ability to use precision tools to verify fabricated parts
• Valid driver's license (may be required)
• Ability to participate in a DOT/FAA drug and alcohol program

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Six Sigma process improvement techniques
• Experience in aircraft manufacturing or completions environments
