Aircraft Painter - Technician A

Responsibilities

• Prepare all airframe surfaces and components for painting by sanding, masking, filling, washing, and removing dents
• Apply corrosive preventative treatments, primers, and finish coats of specialized materials
• Perform painting on aircraft components following Airbus manufacturer procedures
• Complete aircraft for customer acceptance through brush touch-ups, cleaning striping lines, and removing overspray

Requirements

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in painting and paint preparation on metal and composite/fiberglass components
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and Bills of Material (BOM) to ensure proper coatings are applied according to technical data
• Familiarity with common aviation-type tooling
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs and perform physical tasks including squatting, kneeling, and standing
