About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting or sealing using abrasives, solvents, and brushes
- Install masking strips and other aircraft painting details
- Perform sealant application in compliance with technical and quality requirements
- Assist with the application of logos, symbols, or designs using stencils and patterns
- Clean and maintain painting and sealing equipment
- Set up ladders and scaffolding according to regulations
- Ensure compliance with Federal, local, environmental, and OSHA/TOSHA regulations
- Inspect and assist in minor repairs of machines following TPM methodology
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 0-3 years of related experience in an aeronautical environment
- Knowledge of aircraft preparation, painting, and support equipment
- Proficiency in paint spraying techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and painting diagrams
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures
- Ability to wear a respirator without restriction per OSHA regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts
