About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting or sealing using abrasives, solvents, and brushes
  • Install masking strips and other aircraft painting details
  • Perform sealant application in compliance with technical and quality requirements
  • Assist with the application of logos, symbols, or designs using stencils and patterns
  • Clean and maintain painting and sealing equipment
  • Set up ladders and scaffolding according to regulations
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, local, environmental, and OSHA/TOSHA regulations
  • Inspect and assist in minor repairs of machines following TPM methodology

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 0-3 years of related experience in an aeronautical environment
  • Knowledge of aircraft preparation, painting, and support equipment
  • Proficiency in paint spraying techniques
  • Ability to read blueprints and painting diagrams
  • Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures
  • Ability to wear a respirator without restriction per OSHA regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts
