Aircraft Painter

Responsibilities

• Mask, sand, and prepare aircraft for paint application
• Apply glazing and sealing compounds in preparation for final painting
• Operate and maintain preparation and priming equipment, including mixing paints and primers
• Perform leading edge sealant work in final detail
• Comply with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies
• Use material tracking systems to create parts demand and sign off work
• Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with FAA paperwork and quality specifications
• Assist with aircraft movement in hangars

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 1 to 4 years of related paint process experience
• Working knowledge of lacquers, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and acrylics
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation
• Ability to pass a Pulmonary Function Test for respirator certification
• Physical ability to climb ladders, work in small spaces, and lift up to 40 pounds
• Computer literacy
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in the aircraft industry
