About the role
Responsibilities
- Mask, sand, and prepare aircraft for paint application
- Apply glazing and sealing compounds in preparation for final painting
- Operate and maintain preparation and priming equipment, including mixing paints and primers
- Perform leading edge sealant work in final detail
- Comply with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies
- Use material tracking systems to create parts demand and sign off work
- Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with FAA paperwork and quality specifications
- Assist with aircraft movement in hangars
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 1 to 4 years of related paint process experience
- Working knowledge of lacquers, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and acrylics
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation
- Ability to pass a Pulmonary Function Test for respirator certification
- Physical ability to climb ladders, work in small spaces, and lift up to 40 pounds
- Computer literacy
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the aircraft industry
