Aircraft Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering data in accordance to customer specifications and aircraft Structural Inspection and Repair Manual (SIRM)
• Adhere to FAA, customer, and company regulations in project design
• Coordinate with other engineers, managers, Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs) and clients to insure timely project completion
• Design structural modifications and repairs for aircraft to meet customer requirements
• Perform engineering design evaluations
• Conduct analysis from conceptual through design of aircraft structures and/or systems
• Review reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems

Requirements

• MS Engineering, or BSME, BSAE, BS Eng.
• 5-7 years aviation design experience
• Knowledge of FAA guidelines including Part 91, 135, 145
• 3D Modeling experience
• Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance
• Ability to travel less than 10%
• Proper work authorization for the US

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanical Design Engineering airframe experience
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience with Beechcraft King Air, DHC-8, Gulfstream, and 737 models
