About the role
Responsibilities
- Repair, maintain, and inspect aircraft structures, propulsion systems, components, and related equipment
- Remove and install aircraft components, including F-15C engines and jet fuel starting systems (JFS)
- Conduct functional tests of repaired components and systems
- Identify aircraft corrosion for prevention and repair
- Perform aircraft jacking, lifting, towing, and potential crash recovery duties
- Utilize technical data and maintenance directives to ensure compliance and safety
- Manage parts and materials using Air Force supply procedures
Requirements
- Active Secret Clearance
- Minimum of 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience
- Completion of an advanced applicable aircraft maintenance course
- Proven experience with F-15C engine removal and installation
- Proficiency with Air Force supply procedures and deficiency reporting
- Working knowledge of CAMS/IMDS and desktop computer operations
- Previous experience holding an Air Force Jet engine AFSC
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to become borescope qualified, blade blend certified, and engine run certified
- Experience removing and replacing line replaceable units (LRU) and rigging systems
