About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform organizational, intermediate, and limited depot level maintenance, including inspection, repair, and troubleshooting on assigned aircraft powerplants and components.
- Maintain aircraft main, auxiliary, and secondary power systems, fuel systems, engine level, and bleed air components.
- Conduct troubleshooting, testing, and operational checks of powerplant systems, replacing or repairing components such as fuel controls, pumps, and engine-mounted gearboxes.
- Remove, disassemble, inspect, and repair engine parts, ensuring proper reassembly and installation in aircraft.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical directives, test specifications, and applicable safety manuals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of aircraft maintenance experience within the last eight years.
- At least two years of experience in the military or with a government aviation maintenance contractor.
- Recent experience with F-18A-F, EA-18G, E-2C, or MH-60S aircraft.
- Proven experience in corrosion detection, treatment, and prevention.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance (US Citizenship required).
- Valid State Driver’s License.
- Ability to work all assigned shifts and schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- High degree of expertise in aircraft systems and in-depth knowledge of technical manuals and special tools.
- NALCOMIS/OOMA training.
- Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) experience.
- Plane Captain or Aircraft Towing certification.
- Experience with Egress System Checkout or Fuel Surveillance.
