About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Quality Assurance Supervisor, overseeing NAMP compliant programs and ensuring aircraft airworthiness for F/A-18 E/F/G airframes.
- Coordinate and perform audits of programs, processes, and finished products to identify and mitigate deviations from quality standards.
- Perform duties as a Mechanic III, maintaining and servicing aircraft systems and components in accordance with applicable publications and governing instructions.
- Apply technical knowledge to troubleshoot aircraft system malfunctions and interpret manufacturer manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Lead QA teams, drive continuous improvement, and participate in the training and qualification of new personnel.
- Manage risk and implement mitigation strategies to prevent defects and ensure safety of flight.
Requirements
- 10 years of O-level F/A-18 E/F aircraft system maintenance experience.
- Minimum of 120 months of Organizational level experience.
- Valid A&P license or military equivalent (Class A School).
- Completion of CNATTU course C-555-0053.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 US Government Clearance (US Citizenship required).
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and perform all assigned maintenance duties.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 60 months of F/A-18 experience within the last 120 months.
- 60 months of experience as a Quality Assurance Representative or Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI).
- Qualifications such as Low Power Engine Turn-Up Operator (LPT), High Power Engine Turn-Up Operator (HPT), or Plane Captain.
