Aircraft Mechanic III/Quality Assurance Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Quality Assurance Supervisor, overseeing NAMP compliant programs and ensuring aircraft airworthiness for F/A-18 E/F/G airframes.
• Coordinate and perform audits of programs, processes, and finished products to identify and mitigate deviations from quality standards.
• Perform duties as a Mechanic III, maintaining and servicing aircraft systems and components in accordance with applicable publications and governing instructions.
• Apply technical knowledge to troubleshoot aircraft system malfunctions and interpret manufacturer manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Lead QA teams, drive continuous improvement, and participate in the training and qualification of new personnel.
• Manage risk and implement mitigation strategies to prevent defects and ensure safety of flight.

Requirements

• 10 years of O-level F/A-18 E/F aircraft system maintenance experience.
• Minimum of 120 months of Organizational level experience.
• Valid A&P license or military equivalent (Class A School).
• Completion of CNATTU course C-555-0053.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 US Government Clearance (US Citizenship required).
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and perform all assigned maintenance duties.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 60 months of F/A-18 experience within the last 120 months.
• 60 months of experience as a Quality Assurance Representative or Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI).
• Qualifications such as Low Power Engine Turn-Up Operator (LPT), High Power Engine Turn-Up Operator (HPT), or Plane Captain.
