Aircraft Mechanic III Powerplant/Engine MH-60

Responsibilities

• Perform Planned Maintenance Interval Inspections (PMI) and maintenance on MH-60 helicopters at Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot levels.
• Troubleshoot, test, and repair hydraulic components, flight controls, pumps, landing gear, and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation, forms, and records in compliance with NAMP and other applicable publications.
• Operate and maintain ground support equipment and precision tools required for powerplant maintenance.
• Provide On-the-Job Training (OJT) to technicians and maintain appropriate training records.
• Conduct visual inspections for corrosion, wear, and improper adjustments on major aircraft assemblies.

Requirements

• 8 years of experience performing complex helicopter mechanical work, specifically with H-60 aircraft.
• QAR/CDQAR, A&P license, or military equivalent (e.g., Technical Inspector, 7 level).
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and pressurized systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various physical environments, including climbing ladders and stands.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a NAC(T3) background investigation and potentially a secret clearance.
