Aircraft Mechanic III

Responsibilities

• Manage, inspect, and perform organizational level maintenance and modifications on EA-18G aircraft and related systems.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft structures, landing gear, flight surfaces, engines, and ALSS equipment.
• Repair or replace aircraft components including wings, fuselage, plumbing, and hydraulic units using specialized tools.
• Perform hourly, phase, and periodic inspections on jet engines and components to detect cracks, corrosion, or wear.
• Direct flight line/deck operations and certify Aircraft/Engine Logbook entries.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to lower-level technicians during maintenance efforts.
• Maintain accurate aircraft logs, records, and administrative documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed military aviation maintenance training or technical school curriculum.
• Seven (7) years of actual and recent aircraft experience.
• Three (3) years of F/A-18 experience.
• Three (3) years of F/A-18E/F/EA-18G QAR/CDQAR experience with maintenance control supervisory experience.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• US Citizenship.
