Aircraft Mechanic II

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks on assigned aircraft, including KC-46 models.
• Execute launch, recovery, scheduled, and unscheduled inspections and maintenance.
• Conduct preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight inspections, ground handling, and servicing.
• Troubleshoot and maintain aircraft structures, systems, components, and related equipment at the organizational level.
• Provide On-the-Job Training (OJT) to other mechanics and technicians.
• Assist in implementing the Tool Control Program and managing parts orders through the Air Force supply system.
• Complete aircraft forms and maintenance information system documentation accurately and timely.
• Operate vehicles on the flightline in accordance with local airfield driving requirements.

Requirements

• 8 years of aircraft maintenance operations experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Valid driver's license.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in high-noise environments and various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically with KC-46 aircraft.
• FAA Airframe, Powerplant, or Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
