Aircraft Mechanic II

Responsibilities

• Perform military tactical aircraft maintenance, including repairs and modifications to LUH72 aircraft structures and components.
• Maintain and repair aircraft components such as flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fuel systems.
• Interpret technical documentation, including blueprints and manufacturer manuals, to solve moderate to complex mechanical problems.
• Remove and install aircraft subsystem assemblies including engines, rotors, and transmissions.
• Conduct scheduled inspections, special inspections, and limited maintenance operational checks.
• Troubleshoot aircraft systems using specialized tools and test equipment.
• Maintain accurate aircraft logs and records using technical publications and Government STAMIS.
• Service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems to ensure operational readiness.

Requirements

• Valid and up-to-date A&P license.
• Minimum of two (2) years of aviation maintenance experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of rotary wing aircraft experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience on the assigned Mission Design Series (LUH72).
• US Citizenship is required for facility credentials and authorization.
• Must provide own tools and a personal toolbox (tools must be shadowed and etched with PID).
• Ability to work in various environments, including hangars or outdoors, and handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
