Aircraft Mechanic I (UH-60 Avionics)

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform electrical maintenance on UH-60 aircraft electrical systems, avionics, and components
• Install, remove, test, and repair avionics equipment including radar, radio, and navigation systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in electrical and electronic components, including solid-state subsystems
• Install and repair electrical wiring and cables in adherence to established specifications
• Perform scheduled inspections and assist with special inspections
• Maintain, clean, and preserve electrical/electronic components and aircraft instruments
• Prepare aircraft for inspections and perform limited maintenance operational checks
• Maintain accurate forms and records related to aircraft maintenance

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of aviation maintenance experience
• 2 years of rotary wing aircraft experience
• 2 years of experience on the assigned Mission Design Series (MDS)
• US Citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to provide own tools and toolbox

Preferred Qualifications

• U.S. military technical school or specialized training course certification
• Valid up-to-date A&P and/or FCC license
