Aircraft Mechanic I

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on aircraft propulsion, engine, and fuel systems
• Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft structures, landing gear, flight surfaces, and controls
• Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft components including wings, fuselage, and hydraulic units
• Interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical data to determine repair methods
• Inspect and service engines and airframe components to ensure safe operating conditions
• Perform preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and certify aircraft/engine logbook entries

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of job-related experience
• 3 years of experience with F/A-18E/F or EA-18G aircraft
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex malfunctions at the Organizational Level
• US Citizenship is required to obtain facility credentials
• Ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance
