About the role
Responsibilities
- Visually inspect composite components such as wings, fuselages, and control surfaces for defects or damage
- Perform structural and cosmetic repairs using pre-preg, wet layup, honeycomb, carbon, and fiberglass materials
- Utilize vacuum bagging, hot bond, or room temperature curing techniques
- Interpret engineering drawings, Structural Repair Manuals (SRMs), and blueprints
- Trim, sand, drill, fit, and assemble composite parts using specialized equipment
- Complete work package documentation and ensure all repaired components meet prescribed standards
- Comply with repair station procedures (RSM/QCM) and company SOPs
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Zero to two years of experience in composite repair or manufacture
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and perform work above head
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to wear a respirator per OSHA regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Airframe or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
- One or more years of recent depot-level aircraft maintenance and composite repair experience
- Proficiency with power or pneumatic hand tools
- Experience with structural repairs or interior systems
