Aircraft Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble, and modify aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement upgrades
• Oversee assembly, disassembly, or overhaul processes and configure bench test equipment
• Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate and repair faults
• Perform validation and verification testing of various systems and components
• Document all procedures, repairs, and test results to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance
• Inspect components and verify repairs to meet flight worthiness requirements

Requirements

• 4+ years of aircraft maintenance experience (experience on the CH47 platform is preferred)
• Possession of a TCCA, AME, or AME-E license, or a military equivalent
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Level II security clearance
• Eligibility to handle US export-controlled data and consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field
• Completion of a formal CH147 type training course related to aviation specialty
• Knowledge of RCAF Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS) or Defense Resource Management Information System (DRMIS)
• An active Secret Level II Security Clearance
