Aircraft Mechanic - Avionics

Responsibilities

• Perform organizational, intermediate, and limited depot level maintenance, including inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
• Test and troubleshoot weapons systems, communication/navigation, electronic flight control, power distribution, and RADAR systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical directives, test specifications, and applicable safety manuals.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to other employees and support aircrew de-briefs.
• Maintain aircraft in safe operating conditions by troubleshooting malfunctions in various sub-systems.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in aircraft maintenance within the last eight years.
• At least two years of experience in the military or with a government aviation maintenance contractor.
• Proven experience in corrosion detection, treatment, and prevention.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance (US Citizenship required).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Ability to work all assigned shifts and schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent experience with F-18A-F, EA-18G, E-2C, or MH-60S aircraft.
• High degree of expertise in aircraft systems, avionics theory, and applications.
• Familiarity with NALCOMIS/OOMA and ESD training.
• Experience with aircraft towing, brake riding, or plane captain qualifications.
