Aircraft Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and modify aircraft structures and components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fuel systems
• Perform daily, flight line, and hangar maintenance on assigned aircraft
• Conduct inspections, corrosion control, troubleshooting, and fault isolation on aircraft systems
• Interpret technical documentation such as blueprints and manufacturer manuals to solve moderate to complex problems
• Make necessary entries in aircraft logs and records
• Prioritize workload schedules on assigned projects and occasionally lead teams through complex tasks

Requirements

• US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) certificate
• Proven knowledge of airframe, hydraulics, fuel systems, and aircraft engines
• Experience with aircraft sheet metal and structural modification/repair
• Working knowledge of military and general aviation aircraft logbooks
• Basic knowledge of electrical theory and technical publications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various physical positions (standing, squatting, overhead work)

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience working full-time as an aircraft mechanic
• Currently employed as a full-time aircraft mechanic within the past 12 months
