Aircraft Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft in accordance with 14 CFR and DoD regulations
• Conduct daily and turnaround inspections on all assigned aircraft
• Perform troubleshooting, fault isolation, and corrosion control on aircraft systems
• Interpret technical data, including schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Support the overall mission through various aircraft servicing functions and potential official travel to temporary duty sites
• May be required to fly on Government aircraft for relocation or to conduct in-flight troubleshooting and test flights

Requirements

• Valid FAA Mechanic License with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings
• High school diploma or equivalent
• US Citizenship (required to obtain CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance)
• Valid State driver’s license
• Knowledge of fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft systems, including airframes, hydraulics, fuel, electrical, and engines
• Ability to furnish own hand tools
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various physical positions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with B300 and AS350 aircraft
