Aircraft Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft in accordance with 14 CFR and DoD regulations
• Conduct daily and turnaround inspections on all assigned aircraft
• Perform inspections, corrosion control, troubleshooting, and fault isolation on aircraft systems
• Interpret technical data, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Support the overall mission through various aircraft servicing functions and potential official travel to temporary duty sites
• Maintain compliance with federal and company procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous waste materials

Requirements

• Valid FAA Mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings
• US Citizenship (required to obtain CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid State driver’s license
• Ability to pass a CBP Background Investigation and random drug tests
• Proficiency in repairing and maintaining fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft systems, including airframes, hydraulics, fuel, electrical, and engines
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments, including standing, squatting, and working with arms overhead

Preferred Qualifications

• At least two years of experience working with rotary-wing aircraft
• Specific experience with UH-60 Blackhawk aircraft
