Aircraft Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and modify aircraft structures and components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fuel systems
• Perform daily, flight line, and hangar maintenance on assigned aircraft
• Conduct inspections, corrosion control, troubleshooting, and fault isolation on aircraft systems
• Interpret technical documentation such as blueprints and manufacturer manuals to solve moderate to complex problems
• Manage aircraft logs and records and prioritize workload schedules for assigned projects
• Follow all base, federal, and company procedures for the handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials

Requirements

• Current Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) certificate
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of airframe and power plant systems, including sheet metal repair and electrical theory
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to use specialized aircraft tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, and sheet metal brakes
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various aircraft positions (standing, squatting, or working with arms overhead)

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience working full-time as an aircraft mechanic
• Recent experience as a full-time aircraft mechanic within the past 12 months
