Aircraft Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft in accordance with 14 CFR and DoD regulations.
• Conduct daily and turnaround inspections on all assigned aircraft.
• Perform inspections, corrosion control, troubleshooting, and fault isolation on aircraft systems.
• Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to ensure accurate repairs.
• Support the overall mission through aircraft servicing and potential travel to temporary duty sites.
• Maintain compliance with federal and company procedures for handling hazardous waste materials.

Requirements

• Valid FAA Mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings.
• US Citizenship (required to obtain CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance).
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Valid State driver’s license.
• Knowledge of fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft systems, including airframes, hydraulics, fuel, electrical, and engines.
• Ability to interpret technical data, schematics, and blueprints.
• Physical ability to stand, squat, sit, and lift up to 50 lbs, and work with arms overhead for extended periods.
• Willingness to undergo random drug testing.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least two years of experience working with rotary-wing aircraft.
• Specific experience with UH-60 Blackhawk aircraft.
