Aircraft Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and inspect aircraft structures, systems, components, and related equipment
• Remove and install aircraft components and conduct functional tests of repaired systems
• Adjust, align, and rig aircraft systems as required
• Direct or perform aircraft jacking, lifting, and towing operations
• Identify aircraft corrosion for prevention and repair
• Perform assigned tasks within the work center to support F-15 aircraft operations
• Manage hazardous waste and materials in accordance with proper handling and disposal procedures

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of aircraft maintenance experience
• Held an Air Force F-15 Crew Chief AFSC
• Possess flight controls and canopy rigging qualifications
• Completion of an advanced applicable aircraft maintenance course
• Active Secret Clearance
• Knowledge of CAMS/IMDS and desktop computer operations
• Valid state driver's license
• Working knowledge of Air Force supply and deficiency reporting procedures
