Aircraft Mechanic AM-2 (Powerplant/Engine - T700/701C/D, T55-714)

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of major assemblies and subassemblies of the T700/701C/D, T55-714, and auxiliary power units
• Inspect engine turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks
• Perform blade blending and blade replacement in the cold section of powerplants
• Replace or repair worn or damaged components including generators, alternators, fuel controls, fuel pumps, oil pumps, engine mounted gearboxes, and compressor bleed valves
• Conduct hot section inspections and determine replacement of components such as GG rotors, stators, fuel injectors, igniters, and power turbines
• Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects
• Execute engine removal, replacement, reinstallation, and quick-change assembly (QCA) maintenance tasks

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• 5+ years of aviation maintenance experience on the AH-64 aircraft
• US Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain NAC-I T1 Public Trust credentials
• Valid Passport required for deployment to Poland

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent aviation maintenance experience (within the last 5 years) on the AH-64
