About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform general aviation maintenance, avionics, and structural work on 5th generation military fighter aircraft
  • Conduct aircraft system maintenance, including preventative maintenance, launch, recovery, and ground movement
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, test, and repair aircraft and engine systems to prepare for flight
  • Load and test software and perform operational checks for hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and avionics systems
  • Install, test, and repair fiber optic and electrical wiring
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering technical documentation, and Air Force Technical Operational Data
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper records and inspection forms
  • Operate various information systems, including company web-based and UNIX-based systems

Requirements

  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (or one that has been active within the past 24 months)
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Military aircraft maintenance experience with an honorable discharge or an FAA Airframe or Powerplant License
  • 3+ years of experience in full-time aircraft flight line maintenance on military or commercial aviation aircraft
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 20 to 48 pounds and working in various outdoor weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in military aircraft flight line maintenance on fighter aircraft (Avionics, Crew Chief, or Structures at 5 or 7 level)
  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance on complex jet-powered aircraft
  • Experience supporting the F-22 program
  • Current F-22 Special Access Program clearance
