About the role
Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, and maintain C-130 aircraft, engines, components, and systems
- Assess aircraft for damage, condition, and required methods of repair
- Perform depot-level and field maintenance in accordance with approved procedures
- Work independently in central maintenance facilities or unsupervised at outlying field locations
- Ensure continued airworthiness and return aircraft to service after major and minor repairs
- Perform confined space entry maintenance, including aircraft fuel tank repairs
- Demonstrate proficiency in aircraft ground operations and engine/taxi-run requirements
Requirements
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Technician’s Certificate
- Valid Class-C Driver’s License
- Three years of aerospace industry experience as a certificated A&P Technician
- Two years of experience working on type-specific aircraft
- Thorough knowledge of FAA federal aviation regulations and approved maintenance practices
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks at remote field locations
