About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the proper and safe functioning of Delta’s fleet by performing inspections, repairs, and maintenance on aircraft engines, components, and avionics systems
  • Inspect aircraft or components, including landing gear, hydraulic systems, tires, and engines, for damage, defects, or corrosion
  • Install, remove, or modify aircraft structures and systems following technical drawings, schematics, and engineering orders
  • Repair worn or defective parts using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment
  • Interpret maintenance logs and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues and identify required next steps
  • Document all preventive and corrective maintenance activities in repair logs and computer systems
  • Ensure all work activities adhere to established laws, regulations, safety protocols, and FAA specifications

Requirements

  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license
  • High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of full-time mechanical or aircraft maintenance experience
  • Experience with heavy jet maintenance
  • Prior military experience
  • Prior work experience in the airline industry
  • Prior electronics/avionics experience or FCC license
