About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair Delta's aircraft fleet, including engines, components, and avionics systems, in accordance with FAA specifications.
  • Inspect aircraft components such as landing gear, hydraulic systems, tires, and engines for damage, defects, or corrosion.
  • Install, remove, or modify aircraft structures and systems following technical drawings, schematics, and engineering orders.
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies and malfunctions by interpreting logs and researching technical manuals.
  • Document all preventive and corrective maintenance activities in repair logs and computer systems.
  • Perform all work activities in strict accordance with established safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to pass a background check and a DOT-required drug screen.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of full-time mechanical or aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Experience with heavy jet maintenance or electronics/avionics.
  • Prior military experience or experience in the airline industry.
  • Possession of an FCC license.
