About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the proper and safe functioning of Delta’s fleet by inspecting, repairing, and documenting maintenance for aircraft, engines, and avionics systems
  • Perform inspections on aircraft components including landing gear, hydraulic systems, tires, and engines to ensure airworthiness
  • Install, remove, or modify aircraft structures and systems following technical drawings, schematics, and engineering orders
  • Repair worn or damaged parts using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment
  • Interpret maintenance logs and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues and identify required next steps
  • Document all preventive and corrective maintenance activities in repair logs and computer systems
  • Adhere to all established laws, regulations, safety protocols, and FAA specifications

Requirements

  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • At least 18 years of age with authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of full-time mechanical or aircraft maintenance experience
  • Prior experience in the airline industry or heavy jet maintenance
  • Prior military experience
  • Electronics/avionics experience or an FCC license
