About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and inspect Delta's aircraft fleet, engines, and avionics systems in accordance with FAA specifications
  • Perform inspections on aircraft components including landing gear, hydraulic systems, and tires to ensure airworthiness
  • Install, remove, or modify aircraft structures and systems following technical drawings, schematics, and engineering orders
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies and malfunctions by interpreting maintenance logs and technical manuals
  • Document all preventative and corrective maintenance activities in repair logs and computer systems
  • Use hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment to repair worn or defective parts
  • Ensure all work activities adhere to established safety protocols and regulations to protect self and others

Requirements

  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • Ability to pass a DOT-required pre-employment drug screen and participate in random testing
  • Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
  • Authorization to work in the United States and must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of full-time mechanical or aircraft maintenance experience
  • Experience with heavy jet maintenance
  • Prior military experience or experience in the airline industry
  • Prior electronics/avionics experience or an FCC license
  • Current Delta employee status
