Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain the proper and safe functioning of Delta’s fleet by inspecting, repairing, and documenting maintenance for aircraft, engines, and avionics systems.
• Perform inspections on aircraft components, including landing gear, hydraulic systems, tires, and engines, to ensure airworthiness.
• Install, remove, or modify aircraft structures and systems following technical drawings, schematics, and engineering orders.
• Repair worn or defective parts using hand tools, gauges, and specialized testing equipment.
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot issues and identify required repairs.
• Document all preventive and corrective maintenance activities in repair logs and computer systems.
• Adhere to all established laws, FAA regulations, and safety protocols to ensure the safety of self and others.

Requirements

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work rotating shifts as needed.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Authorization to work in the United States and be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of full-time mechanical or aircraft maintenance experience.
• Experience with heavy jet maintenance.
• Prior military experience or experience in the airline industry.
• Prior electronics/avionics experience or an FCC license.
